We absolutely loved our stay at Sunsets on Carissa. Beautiful house with plenty of space, nice pool and patio area and everything else you need. A quick walk to a beautiful beach and only a short drive or free trolly ride to several other beaches. We’d absolutely stay at this house again!

We stayed in the house with 2 other adult couples and no kids. The house was spacious and clean. It was in a great location. We had a short walk to the beach, shops and restaurants. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals., spend a day at the beach, or hang by the pool. We had a great getaway and I would highly recommend staying at Sunset on Carissa.

The most perfect vacation for our family! The house was beautiful. Convenient to beach and restaurants! Pool was just right! Everything so clean and homey! Staff awesome and accommodating! House is beautiful, especially master bedroom suite, and was clean upon arrival. Loved all the different outdoor seating areas and television mounted by the pool. Kitchen was well stocked (except for absence of salt and pepper). Appreciated availability of beach towels and washer/dryer. Missed having pool noodles or other floatation devices which have been present at all other residences we’ve rented with pools. Several very nice beach chairs and umbrella were present in garage so could have saved our money on renting these items. An inventory list of available beach items would have been helpful. When I asked about them, I received response that their availability wasn't guaranteed. Overall, we had a very nice vacation using Sunsets on Carissa as our home base.

I rent houses every year in Holmes Beach, and this house was perfectly maintained with everything that I needed. Would highly recommend the house.

We stayed in this house for 3 months while our house was being restored after the hurricane. This home is on a small street off the beaten path yet very close to the beach, shops and some of the best restaurants. It is well stocked with every amenity. All the beds were very comfortable and the couch is especially comfortable for watching TV. The outside furniture was very nice and comfortable as well. There was a bonus outside TV by the pool and a ping pong table in the bonus room by the pool. The place was very clean when we arrived so its obviously managed well. We highly recommend Sunsets on Carissa.

Let me start off by saying this house is fantastic. It is in a great location and is close to the beach and shops. The backyard and pool is private and a great location to relax. I want to use this review to bring praise to Once Upon a Beach and their owner. As most people know Anna Maria Island was significantly impacted during both hurricane Helene and Milton. During this time many vacation rental companies in the area were refusing to give refunds or offer any assistance to their renters. However, Once Upon a Beach and their owner, Nikki, took a much different approach. They immediately took action to protect their customers despite the personal impact to their own lives. They offered refunds and were transparent about the condition of their rentals. I used to rent with another local company but never again! Once Upon a Beach has earned our business and they should be at the top of your list of rental companies on Anna Maria Island!

We had a great family vacation at Sunsets on Carissa. The house is well equipped. Beds are comfy. Pool was wonderful. We enjoyed the backyard privacy. A lot of great family memories were made.

First time visitors to Anna Maria ,we loved this island and this house so much we booked to come back after one week! Sunset on Carissa was nicely decorated, comfortable and had was well stocked with pool toys,chairs etc. The location was perfect, we could walk just about everywhere. The beach was just a block and a half away!

If you're looking for an affordable and an impecable condition rental property in Anna Maria this one is it. This house was just as expected, comfortable, spacious, nicely decorated, everything worked to perfection, nice and clean beds, AC and fans worked fine, TV's in every room, clean pool and grill, just a block an half from the beach, plenty of beach things, umbrellas, chairs. We will definitely come back next year. My only recommendation would be to have more pots available, because of Covid we ended up cooking more than expected. Supplies like dishwasher detergent, toilet paper, soap, etc., was kind of limited, had to run to Publix for more within a few days.

We stayed a few weeks in December. Some days were perfect but even the coolest days didn’t deter the kids from the heated poo. This house is a very short walk to beach (even with toddlers). The outdoor shower is warm and a nice addition to hose off from the beach. The last review mentioned limited cookware but it has been restocked and we cooked at the house most every day. There’s a Keurig that wasn’t pictured (we had brought our own and didn’t need) as well as plenty of cookware (even an immersion blender). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and had no issues. It’s a nice, clean, quiet house. A personal favorite of ours was the detail done in the landscaping and that allows the backyard to feel completely private!

We loved our stay! The pool is so nice and the home is in a convenient location. The walk to the beach was easy even with two young children. Our favorite spot was the upstairs balcony where we watched the sunset a few nights. Thanks for having us and making the process so easy from booking to check out.
