The were communicative during our check in process knowing we arrived early to the island and were able to accommodate an early check in for us. Which we greatly appreciated! Kokomo was a 4 min walk to the beach and a bike rides distance from both amazing ends of the island. Bridge Street and Pine Ave. The home is just perfectly decorated, was clean and had quality amenities. The beds and pillows were so comfy and soft too. Our family of 4 enjoyed the pool after a hot beach day and we just can’t say enough good things about this home and the team and close location to the beach! Highly recommend!

We loved our 3-week stay on Anna Maria Island. Kokomo was a wonderful home base for exploring everything the island has to offer. The location was fantastic — just a short walk to the beach and an easy bike ride to the shops and restaurants on Pine Avenue. A special shout-out to North Shore Café for the best coffee and all-around great vibe. The bungalow was spotless when we arrived, and the adjustable beds were a fun surprise and very comfortable. The pool was always the perfect temperature, and we loved being able to cool off in the privacy of our own little backyard oasis. We also made great use of the front-yard BBQ and hammock, which added to the relaxed island feel. One tip for future guests: stop at Detwiler’s in Bradenton on your way to the island. It may be the best grocery store we’ve ever visited, and it made stocking up for our stay easy and enjoyable. The team at Once Upon A Beach was excellent to deal with throughout our stay. They were easy to reach, responsive, and went out of their way to help me track down a package that had been delivered. We also highly recommend renting bikes. The rental credit included with the property covered the cost, and biking around the island ended up being one of our favourite parts of the trip. One thing to note is that the cottage is quite compact. It was perfect for the two of us, but our college-aged sons had originally planned to join us and we realized it would have felt a bit tight for four adults for an extended stay. Overall, Kokomo was a charming, comfortable, and well-located place to stay, and we would happily return.

A perfect little cottage just a block from the beach! It was super clean, nicely decorated, and had everything we needed, including beach chairs and umbrellas and a wagon to pull it all. The kitchen had every thing we needed for cooking meals. The little pool is big enough for adults to cool off in, and for the kids to play in.

The house was very clean, and the home itself is calming and thoughtfully furnished. A Very Wonderful surprise was the split king adjustable bed in the first bedroom, a true game changer for people like me with back issues! I somehow hadn’t realized that there were 2 separate, full bathrooms, another nice surprise. The beach is just a quick walk, and the home is in a nice residential area close to everything. There’s a hangout space out front with Adirondack chairs, a hammock, and a BBQ with an extra propane tank in case it runs out (a nice touch!) It’s private and shielded from the road with foliage; a great place to sit and chill. The back patio pool was plenty for our party of 4 to dip, play and cool off, and has both sunny and shaded areas. Lounge chairs and a dinette table for 4. We come to AMI twice a year and have stayed at many places… this will be my go-to from now on… 5 stars!

This house was awesome. It was very clean and had very nice furnishings. The kitchen and the bathrooms were all like brand new. The house had all the amenities you needed to go to the beach, including a beach cart, chairs and a cooler. The pool was great temperature was perfect. We couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay.We will be booking this house again. The location was great easy.Walk to the beach and easy drive everywhere else on the island.

My buddy and I went to Kokomo in Holmes Beach on Anna Maria Island to get away from our daily hustle and bustle and ride our motorcycles around Florida and the island. Our stay at Kokomo was fantastic! This residence is perfect to relax and unwind. It has its own pool which was very relaxing after a long day of riding and seeing the area. The beach is only a five-minute walk from the front door. A wagon, beach umbrella, and beach chairs are also provided, which is very convenient. The two bedrooms were completely separated which is great for "snoring" guests. ;) You will very much enjoy your stay at Kokomo, and we hope to be back soon! Oh, and it didn't hurt that the temps were in the 70s and 80s during our stay.

We stayed for a week in Kokomo. It was a block off the beach, which made it so convenient. The place was clean and decorated so cute. Would definitely stay there again.

Our getaway week to Kokomo on Anna Maria Island was over the top fabulous. The Kokomo residence was perfect for us to unwind and relax and share sister moments together, which was long overdue. Kokomo was so “beachie” decorated, we could have stayed every day at the unit. We had our “own” little pool which was so relaxing after a day at the beach. The beach was a five-minute walk from our front door. Available was a beach cabana (wonderful) for those hot afternoons, beach chairs, and more with a wagon to transport everything to the beach! What more could you ask for. Your stay at this unit will be unforgettable. The updates from Hurricane Helene and Milton were not even noticeable. The remodel was beautiful. A very special place to stay and will be in our hearts for a long time. Oh, and beds and sheets were luxurious!
