Immerse yourself in luxurious 'Old-Florida' feel in this STUNNING one-of-a kind gem of an island home, Casa Mariposa! This home is located just 1 street north of the shops and eateries from 'downtown' Anna Maria's Pine Avenue and just 4 houses down from the beach access path that leads you to arguably one of the best beaches on Anna Maria with the softest and whitest sand around!

If you didn't know it was there, you may be missing this luxurious hidden gem. Tucked away behind its lush gardens and trees you will find an antique wood and iron garden gate leading to the grand entryway adorned with 100-year-old teak columns and an expansive wood front porch. On the first ground level floor, you will find three bedrooms each with their own en-suite, laundry with full size washer and dryer, a hallway wet bar area with sink and beverage fridge, and a door leading you out to the pool and patio area.

The first bedroom has two twin XL beds, en-suite full bathroom with single vanity and step in shower and a game area. The game area is filled with toys, books, puzzles, a TV, Wii, NES classic and all sorts of trinkets to keep kids and BIG kids entertained for hours!

The second MASTER bedroom on the first ground floor you will find has a large luxurious king size bed with designer linens, decor, and island touches. The en-suite bath has a shower and toilet area separate from the double vanity.

The third bedroom located on the first ground level has a king bed, walk in closet & TV. The full ensuite bath with step in shower and single vanity also has a door which opens up to a private screened in patio lounging area just off the pool.

Wind your way up the gorgeous staircase up to the main living area you will find yourself standing in a massive GREAT ROOM with soaring ceilings and spectacular garden views with tons of natural light. The open concept living, dining, and kitchen area is wrapped with huge screened in outdoor lanai/balcony spaces which makes the outdoor living spaces almost as much as the indoor spaces. The multiple sliding patio doors and windows allows you to be in the comfort of this home while feeling immersed in your own elite island tropical oasis. The entire home is equipped with Wi-Fi and Sonos sound!

The kitchen boasts rare Australian serpentine countertops, stunning solid maple cabinets, stainless-steel high-end appliances, a wine cooler, and plenty of counter space with a coffee bar and breakfast bar. The kitchen is fully stocked so you can whip up an incredible meal at home with your group and keep entertaining for hours!

The fourth bedroom is located on the second main floor area and has a king bed, TV, closet, and desk workspace. Just outside the bedroom door and in the hallway is a full bathroom with combination tub and shower with jetted tub.

Once outside in the backyard you will find yourself on a covered porch with additional outdoor dining table and huge grill perfect for grilling up that fresh catch of the day! The true magnificent gem of this home into its expansive private garden and native butterfly sanctuary which is home to 20+ varieties of butterflies and is the namesake of the home - Casa Mariposa, which in Spanish means Butterfly House.

The pool is perfect for getting an early morning exercise swim in while also being a perfect place to splash around and cool down after a day at the beach. Next to the pool is a poolside cabana filled with all your beach essentials: chairs, umbrella, toys, and EVEN BIKES!

This home is located just 4 houses down from the BEST beach on AMI and steps to shops & restaurants on Pine Avenue!


Registered Guest must provide copy of ID, be at least 25 years of age and be present throughout entire stay.  

Standard occupancy is 2 persons per every standard bedroom, an additional occupant fee of $25 per person/per night will be assessed for each occupant over this up to max occupancy, if applicable.

Quiet Hours 10p-8a. You are vacationing in a residential area. Please be a good neighbor by keeping the noise to a respectful level during the day and night. Excessive and unreasonable noise can deprive neighbors of the peaceful enjoyment of their private property.

Reservations are typically taken for 7-night Saturday-Saturday stays. However, we can offer flexible stays with varying minimum night requirements and non-Saturday check-ins/check-outs during most of the year with exception to holidays and peak weeks unless city ordinances prohibit it. Always feel free to ask prior to booking to see if this is a possibility as we may not be able to accommodate changes after booking.

All our homes and linens are cleaned, sanitized, and inspected between each guest per industry standards.  A starter set of basic amenities, linens, towels, and bedding are provided at the beginning of your stay per home occupancy. Daily housekeeping or linen services are not included in your stay. 
Additional cleaning and laundry services are available by request mid-stay at additional charge. Additional mid-stay cleans are required to be scheduled and paid by guest at additional cost every 21 days.

Golf carts are a fun and easy way to get around the island! After booking, reserve one for your stay with our sister company, Once Upon A Beach Carts, for an exclusive discount for our vacation rental guests!

Baby equipment is not available for use at the home for safety and sanitation reasons. We are however partnered with local companies offering rentals of these items including pick-up and drop-off.

POOL & SPA (if any):
The pool is heated year-round at no additional cost for the convenience and comfort of our guests. Pool temperatures are set between 82-85 degrees and will not be set higher due to keeping proper chemical balance, clarity, and cleanliness of the pools. Due to strict city noise ordinances pool heaters and filters do not run during the hours of 10p-8a. Please note that cooler ambient temperatures (20 degree difference between water and air temperature) may result in pool heater unable to compensate the difference. We are not responsible for cold spells causing cooler pool temperatures or unexpected failure of equipment. Please note that a residential spa is a section of pool that once turned on provides relaxation, misting bubbles and warmer temperatures in the high 90s - low 100s but are not permitted to remain on 24/7 or will not reach temperatures like that of a commercial hot tub. Spas may not be operational during the months of June - September to avoid high temperatures of pool water which is detrimental to keeping proper pool chemical balances. Guests are required to read and abide by all posted rules, safety and operating information. Under no circumstance is any guest allowed to adjust pool equipment. Failure to abide may result in guests being fined or liable for any damages to equipment.

Please note this home may be equipped with Ring, Nest or other exterior cameras viewing front door, driveways, pool equipment, and entry/exits of backyard areas only. Cameras are only intended to keep property safe and secure, monitor deliveries, assure occupancy, and are not angled into any areas where guests would assume or expect privacy.

  • 50% of total amount due must be made at time of reservation request to confirm reservation.
  • 50% of total amount due must be paid on or before 60 days prior to check-in date
  • Full amount due must be made at time of booking if check in date is within next 60 days.

Please review the details of our Cancellation Policy page or Terms & Conditions at booking. We encourage you to review as OUR POLICIES HAVE CHANGED as of MARCH 25, 2023. We continue to offer refunds of deposits for cancellations (for stays of 28 days or less) made greater than 60 days to arrival, however all cancellations are now subject to a non-refundable booking admin fee. We continue to offer our US Citizens guests (with exception to residents of NY and HI) the option of purchasing CSA Travel Insurance directly with us. We strongly encourage all guests to purchase Travel Insurance in the event of any unforeseen eventualities. Refunds or credits are not provided for COVID-19 related cancellations, weather or beach conditions outside of our cancellation policy. Hurricane season is June 1st – November 30th.

Manager is not responsible for providing refunds due to circumstances beyond the Manager's control like travel disruptions, guest travel restrictions, work and school scheduling changes, etc. Weather, tropical storms, hurricane threats, environmental conditions like red-tide, construction, water, or beach conditions cannot be guaranteed.

All cancellation requests must be initiated by Registered Guest through the website in which they booked and/or be in writing via email. Cancellation requests will not be accepted via phone, text, or by a member of the party other than the main Registered Guest.
